Destination ImagiNation

Destination ImagiNation Directors,

A team of evaluators from The University of Virginia’s Curry School of Education and Destination ImagiNation are collaborating in investigating the effectiveness and impact of the Destination ImagiNation program. More particularly, the evaluation will examine the program’s contribution to the development of participants’ creative thinking skills, critical thinking, creative problem solving and teamwork. To assess the impact of DI in these areas, the team will randomly survey DI team managers, parents of DI participants, and DI participants. The evaluation team is also interested in what DI Directors believe participants may have learned from DI about creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. In addition, the survey includes questions that allow you to provide your thoughts in general about DI.

Recently you should have received an email from one of our evaluators asking you to partake in this DI Directors survey through surveymonkey.com. Although the survey is not being administered by DI directly, we want to be clear that the evaluation is endorsed by Destination ImagiNation. It is critical that all DI Directors take part in this portion of the evaluation so that the team can gather accurate and honest responses.
