Local Destination ImagiNation team remembers fallen teammate with memorial event

October 26, Glassboro, NJ—A Trophy Club, Texas Destination ImagiNation team will be celebrating the life of their teammate with a fundraising event that asks people to commit to perform one act of kindness in her honor.

Maggie Lee Henson was 12 years old when she suffered fatal injuries during a traffic accident. On October 29th, what would have been her 13th birthday; her fellow DI team members will be holding the Maggie Lee for Good (www.MaggieLeeforGood.org) day from 6:00 – 8:00pm at the Lakeview Elementary School in Trophy Club, Texas.

The fundraiser aims to collect MP3 and iPods including gift cards and money to donate to the Children’s Medical Center in Dallas as part of their music therapy program. Individuals wishing to participate can visit www.MaggieLeeforGood.org to register their intended good deed.

“Maggie Lee loved music in all forms and she always found a way to share that with people,” said Susan Miller, Maggie’s Destination ImagiNation Team Manager. “Her memorial event is named for her favorite song from the musical Wicked I’ve Been Changed for Good, and I know Maggie would be thrilled about sharing music with people to help them heal.”
