January 25, 2010-Cherry Hill, NJ-Destination Imagination’s (DI) Start a Team Video Diary contest is in full swing as all six teams have posted their first video entries which focus on why they love participating in DI.
Destination ImagiNation’s Video Diary contest follows six teams through the 2009-10 Tournament season as they give in-depth and unfiltered looks into this exhilarating after-school activity. Each month the teams will post a variety of content at http://www.idodi.org/index.php/contests where visitors can browse the blogs and follow their journey.
“This contest is special in that it allows Destination ImagiNation’s teams to tell a peer-to-peer story that is very powerful,” said Matthew Arts, Marketing and Public Relations Director for Destination ImagiNation. “Each team’s unique point of view showcases the team’s passion for DI, and I cannot wait to see what teams post next.”
The teams presented a variety of themes for their first videos; from infomercials to documentaries, and even global travels, the first set of videos showcases the creativity and fun of Destination ImagiNation. The next schedule posting is February 5, when teams will post entires centering on the theme of teamwork. The contest runs until May 2010, when the winning team members will each receive a $1,000 scholarship.
“We are so excited to be participating in this contest. It gives the kids a wonderful opportunity to showcase the creativity and teamwork they’ve developed through their participation in DI; their love of this program shines through their videos so clearly,” said Waverly Braunstein, co-Team Manager of Chocolate Bunnies. “We hope that people see these vlogs, become interested in DI, and want to Start a Team for the 2010-11 season.”
